First Nations Areas

These spatially small areas were excluded despite difficulties in terms of scale. By using the BCllp.shp found in the DMTI datasets, I was able to isolate the reserves in ArcMap using the select option from the attribute table and exporting them as a new attribute table. The new shapefile was rasterized, transformed into ASCII and imported into IDRISI. Projection was changed to NAD 1930 UTM10n as well as other parameters including the resolution (1065.868) and the columns and rows. Due to the small resolution of the reserves (usually 1 pixel in size), the DEM shrunk to fit in IDRISI. The result was then changed into a Boolean image. The macro model is as follows:
